2023 – 2024 Season

We are a robotics team from North Alabama and this was our rookie season. While we were building the walls of our game arena, made up of twelve segments, we used a pack of seven drill bits to drill pilot holes to connect the segments together. While drilling holes for the first segment, we broke six of the seven drill bits. That final drill bit was able to drill pilot holes for the other eleven segments. This led to our team name, “6-Bit Drill Sergeants”.

Throughout the year we were able to expand our robot, “Bad Hole Pattern”, in ways we thought we would have never been capable of. Our team became a finalist in the Alabama Cup #2, the winning alliance captain in the Alabama Last-Chance Cup, and the winning alliance in the Alabama State Championship. We also received multiple accolades, including the Design Award at the Alabama Cup #2, and the Judges’ Choice Award at the Alabama State Championship. We partook in several outreach events including the Madison Street Festival, and the Circle Ranch Spring Festival. Lastly, we are sincerely thankful for all the support we received this year.
